LEAD ASSOCIATE DENTIST — Founding Clinical Lead at New Toronto Practice
Full-Time | Partnership Track
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
A brand-new, fully equipped general and orthodontic dental clinic is opening
in Toronto. We are seeking an experienced general dentist to join us as our Founding Lead Associate — a position with genuine clinical leadership and a long-term path to expanded responsibility and ownership participation.
This is not a "just another associate" position. You will be the senior
clinical voice in a modern, technology-forward practice built from the ground
up around quality of care, patient experience, and a sustainable workload. You'll be supported by a full-time, dedicated, professionally trained management team
that handles every non-clinical function so you can focus on dentistry.
WHO YOU ARE
• RCDSO-licensed and in good standing (or eligible for transfer; we'll
accommodate a reasonable start date)
• 5+ years post-licensure clinical experience in general dentistry
(will consider strong 3-year candidates with the right profile)
• Comfortable with a broad range of general dentistry: comprehensive
exams, restorative, prosthodontics, routine endo, simple surgical
extractions, basic cosmetic
• Strong communicator who builds long-term patient relationships
• Interest in being part of building something, not just clocking hours
• Bonus: bilingual in Portuguese, Spanish, Mandarin, Farsi, or another
GTA-relevant language
WHAT WE OFFER
Compensation
• 40–45% of personal collections
• Plus a guaranteed monthly minimum during the ramp-up period
(first 6 months)
• Plus a fixed Clinical Director stipend for the leadership component
of the role
Clinical Environment
• Brand-new build-out: three operatories, digital workflow throughout,
intraoral scanner, digital X-ray in every room + pano on-site
• Cloud-based practice management software
• Modern sterilization meeting all IPAC requirements
• Full-time RDH and CDA support from day one
Schedule
• We will marketing aggressively pre-launch and the patient pipeline is the operator team's responsibility, not yours
• No after-hours emergencies — referred to partner clinics
Support You Won't Find Elsewhere
• You do dentistry. We handle everything else.
• Treatment plan presentation, financing, insurance pre-auths,
follow-up calls, recalls, billing all done by trained treatment-coordination staff
Career Trajectory
• The position is designed as a long-term clinical leadership role
• For the right person, this becomes a path to expanded responsibilities including potential equity participation discussed in detail once a mutual fit is established
WHAT MAKES THIS DIFFERENT
Most associate positions in Toronto put you on a treadmill: chase production,
fight for chair time, deal with administrative chaos, and accept that the
owner's priorities aren't always the patient's. This role is different by
design. Our management team is composed of two dental professionals
(including a board-certified orthodontist in Brazil) working full-time on operations,
marketing, hiring, and patient experience. That means:
• You have a true clinical partner on the strategic side
• Decisions about supplies, equipment, lab choices, and treatment protocols are made WITH a clinician, not over a clinician's head
• Patient flow is the operator team's job to deliver and you focus on dentistry and on your patients
